Book Review: High School Musical: The Junior Novel by N.B. Grace

Summary : On New Years Eve, Troy Bolton, the captain of the high school basketball team, and his dad, the coach of his highschool basketball team, were playing basketball. They were playing in a hotel gym when Troy's mom came in and convicted him to go to the hotel's new year party for teens.

Troy wasn't very interested in attending a party so he sat on the side. Meanwhile, not to far away, Gabriella Montez curled up reading a book, when her mom took it out of her hand and convinced  her to go. She was convinced  when she saw  the sparkly dress her mom had laid out.

At the party, almost every one was having fun except for Troy and Gabriella . Thing livened up because the  party had karaoke and the DJ's picked Troy and Gabriella to sing. At first they didn't want to but as soon as they began to sing they began to have fun.

After the song, Troy and Gabriella talked and became friends. After New Years,  Troy saw Gabriella at school and they both wanted to sing in the drama club in the school play. When Troy and Gabriella's friends learned of their plans, they didn't like it and tried to stop them. They told them to stick to the status quo.  Sharpay the drama queen and captain of the drama club especially didn't like the idea since she's been the star of every play in the school.

What will Troy and Gabriella do? Find out in the book!
