Life in Motion: An Unlikely Ballerina Young Readers Edition by Misty Copeland

Summary Misty Copeland is an American ballet dancer, who was born in 1982. When she was 2 years old, her parents got divorced. She moved away with her mother and 3 older siblings. Later on, her mother remarried to another man and had another baby. Then her mother found out he was an alcoholic and left him. Later Misty went to middle school where she met her Boys & Girls Club teacher who told her to try ballet. At first, Misty didn't like it but as she continued, she began to like it. Not long after, her mother lost her job and they became poor. When her ballet teacher found out, she offered for Misty to live with her and she agreed. Many years later, Misty became a professional ballet dancer. She was invited to be part of the abt dance company and was in the Chocolate Nutcracker ( an African American nutcracker) and was in lots of other ballets throughout the book including the Fire Bird and Sleeping Beauty.
Star Rating: 5 stars Why? Because it is a very interesting book about a professional dancer who had a hard life at first but overcame it and reached her dreams. Scary Scale 1-10: 1 The only reason why this book was scary was because her mother married an abusive man, but later they got away from him.
I would love to see more of my fans so make sure to follow and be a awesome super cool fan and followers 😀.
